PennDOT has extended expiration dates for vehicle registrations, inspections, and driver’s licenses.
The following PennDOT products set to expire from March 16-May 31, 2020 have had their expiration extended through June 30, 2020:
Vehicle registration of all classes
Driver’s Licenses, Photo ID Cards, and Learner’s Permits
Persons with Disability Parking Placards
Safety Emissions and Inspections
Limited services are available at some Driver’s License and Photo License centers in Pennsylvania. Note that these services do not include REAL ID. Check the PennDOT website for locations and hours of operation.
PennDOT has online services available for driver’s license, photo ID, and vehicle registration renewals. There are no additional fees for using online services. Individuals who renew their driver’s license after May 10, 2020 will not need to upload a new picture. PennDOT will use a photo already on file.
The Department of Homeland Security has extended the REAL ID deadline to October 1, 2021.
